Starting out as a professional fine artist for 14 years, Lynne had a studio in Portsmouth, including one at Art Space Portsmouth for 9 years. Lynne was part of the executive team of artists running the studios, raising funds, taking on the finances and she helped to appoint the first studio manager of ASP in 1999. During this time, she exhibited her work in many galleries including Aspex Gallery, Southampton City Gallery, Aberystwyth Arts Centre to Sandton Art Gallery, Johannesburg, South Africa.
With her strong commitment to community arts, diversity and social inclusion, Lynne started out working for a regional SHAPE arts and disability charity for 8 years. This was followed by 15 years of cultural development and leadership in local government, in Portsmouth and Bracknell Forest, where she managed public art commissions, public art advisory panels, maker development, exhibitions, performing arts festivals, coordinated and evaluated major arts and heritage projects and wrote arts strategies and policies. Lynne gained MA in Arts and Cultural Management at Sussex University in 2004.
